Dress Code

**Failure to comply with dress code may result in removal from class**

NO DANGLING JEWELRY is to be worn in class
NO STREET CLOTHES are to be worn in class
NO STREET SHOES are to be worn in class
Please DO NOT wear dance shoes outside the dance studio​
Trial Class
No dancewear needed! Please come to your trial class wearing modest, workout style clothes like t-shirts, yoga pants/shorts or sweatpants (midriff covered please!). If you already have dance shoes, you are welcome to wear them but they are not required. Socks are just fine (yes, even in tap class!)
3-5 Year Old
​Ballet/Jazz & Ballet/Tap
  • ​black or pink leotard
  • black or pink tights
  • ballet skirt allowed but not required
  • pink leather or canvas ballet shoes (No bedroom/house slippers)
  • black tap shoes for tap classes
  • hair in a bun with bangs secured away from face (short hair that can't be pulled into a ponytail should be secured away from face)
  • black tap shoes for tap classes

6-18 Year Old
​Ballet & Pre-Pointe
  • black leotard
  • pink tights
  • ballet skirt or spandex shorts allowed but not required
  • pink leather or canvas ballet shoes (No bedroom/house slippers)
  • hair in a bun with bangs secured away from face (short hair that can't be pulled into a ponytail should be secured away from face)

6-18 Year Old
​Jazz
  • workout style clothes such as t-shirts, yoga pants/shorts or leggings (covering midriff and private areas)
  • leather or canvas jazz shoes
  • hair in a ponytail or bun with bangs secured away from face (short hair that can't be pulled into a ponytail should be secured away from face)

6-18 Year Old
​Tap
  • workout style clothes such as t-shirts, yoga pants/shorts or leggings (covering midriff and private areas)
  • leather tap shoes (no heels)
  • hair in a ponytail or bun with bangs secured away from face (short hair that can't be pulled into a ponytail should be secured away from face)

6-18 Year Old
​Contemporary
  • workout style clothes such as t-shirts, yoga pants/shorts or leggings (covering midriff and private areas)
  • leather or canvas half-sole contemporary shoes
  • hair in a ponytail or bun with bangs secured away from face (short hair that can't be pulled into a ponytail should be secured away from face)

Pointe
  • black leotard
  • pink tights
  • ballet skirt or spandex shorts allowed but not required
  • pointe shoes
  • hair in a bun with bangs secured away from face (short hair that can't be pulled into a ponytail should be secured away from face)

Stretch & Strengthen
  • workout style clothes such as t-shirts, yoga pants/shorts or leggings (covering midriff and private areas)
  • hair secured away from face
  • socks, bare feet, dance shoes, or clean sneakers (not worn outside)
