Class Descriptions
Dance With Me - Ages 2-3
Our Dance With me class is a 30 minute, adult involved class where 2-3 year old dancers are introduced to the classroom setting and start to work on building their basic motor skills. This class will use a modified version of the first 30 minutes of our 3-5 year old combo class to introduce new dancers to how our classes are run and help them make a smooth transition into taking class without the help of mom, dad, or other adult when they move into our 3-5 year old combo class.
Combo - Ages 3-5
Our combo classes are designed for younger dancers who are not quite ready for a full hour of one dance style. These classes start with 20-30 min of ballet, learning ballet positions and basic steps. After a short bathroom and drink break, class resumes for tap or jazz to start learning the beginning tap or jazz steps as well as working on some gross motor skills. Near the end of class dancers will learn a short routine to be performed at a small in-studio show on Friday. Most classes end with a game of freeze dance and a stamp or sticker to reward good classroom behavior.
Ballet - Ages 6+Our summer ballet classes are structured to give our students a fun introduction to the world of classical ballet and a place to solidify their basic technique. Our teachers are very good at planning classes and making changes as necessary to make sure dancers are getting the most out of class every week whether that means throwing a more challenging move into the mix or going back to basics to make sure dancers are dancing safely.
During the summer our Ballet classes are an hour and a half long. The first half of class is used to warm up and work on Ballet steps while the second half of class will be used to learn a short dance to be performed at a small in-studio show on Friday. |

Our teachers strive to introduce our dancers to all sorts of jazz styles including Broadway/musical theater, jazz funk, character, classical jazz, and anything else they can think of that uses the core of jazz technique dancers can gain experience in a variety of different performance styles.
